Now, before anyone asks, NO I WILL not cover every single theorypasta. There is a reason why: most theorypastas are very ableist. What do I mean by that? I mean: “Oh, ____ was hallucinating all this time/ was in a mental hospital/ had schizophrenia!!!111!!” That’s what I mean by that. Also, once when you hear one theorypasta, you've heard them all. All the cliches have been used to the point where they become laughable. However, there are some theories that really make you ponder and make you start wondering whether or not the creators of said material thought about it beforehand. Of course, I am talking about the Mew/Ditto theory. This theory has so much compelling evidence for itself that it makes you think that Game Freak itself intended for it to happen. But enough talk, let’s dive into the theory.

First and foremost, both Mew and Ditto are genderless. Both weigh 8.8 lbs and share the same normal and shiny sprites. Both pokemon are capable learning transform and can learn any move (But in Ditto’s case, only has a limited movepool when it transfoems into a certain pokemon.) Mewtwo has been stated to be the only successful clone of Mew, so it’s possible that there were failed experiments. And while we’re on the topic of Mewtwo, Ditto can be found in the Cinnabar Island Mansion and Cerulean Cave. The Cinnabar Island Mansion is the area where Mew is said to have given birth to Mewtwo and Cerulean Cave is the area where Mewtwo can be found and caught. In fact, Ditto itself looks like a lab experiment gone wrong.

What do you think about this theory? Do you believe it to be true? Or do you think it’s just a coincidence?
